Coating

Coil-coating systems

The corrosion protection systems which have stood the test for decades are also used for sectional door elements. The system is based on alloy-galvanized steel consisting of 95% Zn and 5% Al (short symbol ZA), which is known under the trade name GALFAN® (coating group ZA255). Optimum corrosion protection is only achieved using a duplex system (galvanization + coating). The coating systems introduced on the following pages are available for outer and inner sheets.

Price advantage achieved by painting
the PUR coating

The PUR coating (RAL 9002) may be painted with no need for prior grinding or cleaning of the surface. This results in approx. 30 to 40% less cost for painting. Prior to painting, we recommend to degrease the surface. Painting should be agreed with a specialist contractor. We do not assume any liability for painting carried out by others.

Organic coating applied to the cover sheets of our products gives corrosion protection as per DIN 55928-8 (corrosion protection class II or III), while quality and surface remain unchanged. For PLADUR®, two lacquer coats are applied in one single operation and then oven-cured. The surfaces may also be provided with a peel-off protective foil. The rear side of the strip is provided with a protective lacquer (RSL).

Additional coatings

Easy-to-Clean
Additional non-stick coating to prevent sticky dirt on the element surface. All PVDF shades, metallic colours as well as the ReflectionOne® collection are available.
